Include Page macro permission

Rhys Gottwald August 26, 2024

Good morning,

Here is the context

  • I have a group called Confluence-Guest this group has view access to all spaces.
  • I add all my guest accounts to this Group and then assign specific spaces to each guest
  • I then create a page in Space ABC called Step by Step Guide
  • I create another page in Space XYZ and us the include page macro to include Step by Step Guide

The question is will the guests who are members of Confluence-Guest but only have access to Space XYZ be able to view the page Step by Step Guide in Space XYZ?

Hi @Rhys Gottwald ,

the Include Page macro respects the original page's permissions. Since the guests do not have access to Space ABC, they will not be able to view the content of "Step by Step Guide" even when it is included in a page in Space XYZ.
