Importing large Word document behaviour

Hi

I appreciate there are posts regarding issues importing large word documents - which is often due to size limitations.

I have an issue post importation.  I have imported a word document fine.  However, when trying to edit it, it is very problematic.

When i try to edit the page it sometimes let me and sometimes freezes ("page isnt responding").

The word document was 350 pages.

From my experience, Confluence starts lagging once you try to add a lot of content to a page. I would say this is not just a cloud limitation.

Some workaround here would maybe be to 'divide' the Word document into multiple documents (e.g. by sections) and then import them one by one, where each document/section would be a child page of the main page. 🤔
This is how we usually 'separate' large documents and store the same content within the Confluence. 

There were some performance upgrades related to the cloud over the years, and as I can see, the latest one was in Q2 2024.

Thanks @Tomislav Tobijas _Koios_ It is a good suggestion. I did think of this also, however it really does not suit my requirements.

I will try and strip some data out of it; best other option i can think of.
