I  attempted a space import via a zipped XML file. On the first try I skipped the  Jira macro check.  The system stated it was completed; However; Idid not see the  new space.  I tried logout / login in vain.  It was when I repeated the process  I received an error with the string "A space with key DS already exists" during the second stage of the import.

I would assume this was from the first attempt. However, I cannot find a single space in my instance where DS appears and no space title even similar to that. There is no space currently in the trash and no spaces that have been archived are close to this either.  I did download this space from another company and I am trying to upload the space to a new company.

Hello @Chris ONeil and welcome to the Community.

This just means exactly what it says - in your target Confluence site, there is already a space with the space key SD.

The space you are importing has the same space key.

By design, you cannot have two spaces with the same key on a single Confluence site.

A space key cannot be changed.

Here's where you can find out what is they space key of a space (accidentally, it's TS in my case).

Unless I'm mistaken, the import checks also spaces that are archived and/or thrashed.
