I have an export from another Confluence, which I want to import into my Confluence, but every time I click "Importieren" I'm getting the error "Failed to start a long running task" without any further details. The last thing I can read on the screen before the error comes is "Unzipping the uploaded file". Does anyone know, how to solve this problem?

Welcome to the community @Stefan Thaler

Have you tried importing the space with the XML instead of using HTML?

Hello Nikola Perisic,
hello Kathy Hart,

thanks for your replies. The import as XML instead of HTML has worked - it was an export of a Confluence DataCenter. The only problem afterwards was the missing permission for the space, so it was not able to see the imported space. The user abc@testone.com bought a space in a mantained and hosted Confluence DataCenter environment - now, some years later, he created a new company and he created a Confluence Cloud environment with his new address abc@testtwo.com. Afterwards he wanted to import with his new user the DataCenter XML export into his cloud environment, but he had no permission to view the imported space. The bad fact about this is, that you need a paid Premium Confluence Abo, to get a Admin-Key to get back again the access to your personal space, which has been imported.

Does the space you are importing come from another Cloud instance, or was it in Server or DataCenter?

If it is coming from Server or DataCenter then you need to use the migration tool, not just space import.

You also need to check is there is an already existing Space with the same Space Key. That will block an import as well.
