Import Knowledge base articles

Michael January 2, 2025

Hi Atlassian

Having successfully migrated away from Manage Engine (Zoho). We are currently running our service desk in Jira Service Management Cloud.

I can see how to create new Knowledge Base articles in either Jira SM or Confluence.

Is there any way I can import KB articles from say csv/Excel into Jira SM or Confluence?

It looks that these will need to be created manually, since we only have around 40 articles.

Thanks

Michael

Hi @Michael Welcome to the community!

There are ways to import Knowledge Base (KB) articles into Jira Service Management (Jira SM) or Confluence. However, the process isn't as straightforward as directly importing a CSV or Excel file. However, since you have only around 40 articles, manually creating them is feasible and would allow you to fine-tune the content as you go.

Hi Manoj

Thank you for your swift reply. Do you recommend creating the articles in Confluence or Jira SM? Is there any benefit creating them in either location or is it just the same?

Create them in the confluence and link the space to your JSM project.
