I've lost my heading numbering and can't get it back

In the new editor, I no longer have the small button next to the header drop-down that would once allow me to toggle header numbering on and off. How can one turn the numbering back on in this editor?

Do you mean this one?

If yes, Content Formatting Macros for Confluence provides it. Probably it disappeared because your team didn't extend the subscription. 

If it looked differently, maybe your team used another thirty-part solution. 

My team develops the first one, so let me know if you need a help with it.
