I created a spreadsheet and I created a slice and dice page. I want to use the same features in Confluence. I imported the spreadsheet (that includes the slicer) into confluence and I got the data table into Confluence, but not the slicer. I cannot find how to recreate the slicer when in Confluence page. Any ideas??
Hi @carmel farrugia,
If you use the standard Excel macro and by the slicer you mean filtration, then your case is not possible. If you want to filter your data and create pivot tables/charts based on this filtered table, then you need additional apps from the Atlassian Marketplace.
We can suggest trying the app that we develop – Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.
You’ll be able to import your existing Excel file as a native table and/or as a spreadsheet table and use filtration, calculations, aggregation, and visualizations in both scenarios.
We’ll be happy to arrange a live demo for you and your team – please book a suitable time slot here.
As said above, it's not possible to recreate the slicer feature in Confluence using the native macros. However, there are apps available on the Atlassian Marketplace that simplify Excel import and export into Confluence.
If you're interested, I recommend trying Elements Spreadsheet. It allows seamless integration of spreadsheets (excel import/export) into Confluence, offering robust features like data formatting, filtering, sorting, and validation. With over 400 formulas, it's also compatible with Confluence’s native charts, helping you transform your data into actionable insights. You can try it for free!
We’d be happy to provide a demo or answer any questions you might have.
