How to use Code Block Diff syntax

fwhenin November 17, 2017

I noticed that the Code Block Macro has a syntax of Diff. Not sure if this is exactly what we want or not. or even how to use it. What we use this for is Database SQL changes and the ability for other people to look through them BEFORE we commit them to our Version Control. There are times when we alter stored procedures, we post what the stored procedure before and after the alteration. currently, the reviewer goes through, copies and pastes them in another application (notepadd++ or WinMerge for example) and does a compare line by line there. was wondering how we can do this in confluence directly. Is Diff something we can leverage? If so, how do we use it exactly? If not, is there any plugin that could provide this functionality to Confluence directly?

Why not commit them to a source version control system on a feature branch and create a pull request for them? Atlassian Bitbucket gives you that ability out of the box then for people to view the diff, review it, approve or deny it and add multiple line specific comments.
