Hi @priya agarwal ,

It seems that you use the standard Excel macro and it doesn't have any formatting settings.

As usual, we suggest storing and processing everything in one place - in Confluence.

You can use, for example, the Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app to filter your tables, perform calculations, aggregate data and visualize your pivots and reports. The app works not only with manually created tables, but with macro generated tables as well (Jira Issues macro, Page Properties Report, etc.).

And if you still need to upload files from Excel, you may use its Table from CSV macro along with the Table Transformer macro where you'll be able to set column width, text and cell background color, etc.

Let me explain in more detail.

If you just add an excel in a confluence page, confluence shows the excel file like images. It looks like a screenshot so you can't check formatting in your document.

If you want to embed an excel file with all formatting in a confluence page, you should use Macro Apps. Here is the marketplace for Atlassian Addons,

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/

One of options is  Polaris spreadsheet for Confluence I recommended above.

1) Go to the marketplace: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1223556/polaris-spreadsheet-for-confluence?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

2) choose "Try it free" button on the top. (One  month free trial is available for all Atlassian apps.)

3) After that, you can use the Macro on Confluence edit mode as below,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OELp_2G62oI

https://newwiki.infraware.net/display/AAOP/1.+Macro+Navigation

It only supports Confluence Cloud, so you may choose a similar app if your team uses server or datacenter type.

I hope this guide would be helpful for you. Please let me know if you have further question.

Hello @priya agarwal

I would like to recommend Polaris spreadsheet for Confluence that allows you to directly embed an excel file in a confluence page. It will keep all formats in your file, and you can also directly edit an excel file in a confluence page.

Please how it works in a confluecen page with the video below,
