Hi Dhivya,
You can upload a video file as an attachment in Confluence. Could you tell us what problem you're having doing so? What is the format of the video file and the size?
Kind Regards,
Shannon
Steps :
i created a page
navigated to multimedia macros wherein
The file which i wanted to upload is not listed in the drop down.

Hi Dhivya,
Are you referring to this drop-down?
It will only display the files there that you have already added as attachments.
In the editor you can:
- Drag the file directly onto the page.
- Go to Insert > Files and images and upload a file.
When viewing a page you can:
Drag the file directly onto the page.
Go to > Attachments and upload a file.
It's probably best for you to try to follow the first set of instructions since you're already in the editor.
Can you give that a try and if you have problems let me know the file type and size you're trying to upload?
Kind Regards,
Shannon

Hello @pova,
In Dhivya's case, the attachment wasn't displaying likely because it wasn't yet attached to the page. You need to go to . . . > Attachments to make sure the attachment has been uploaded to the page.
If you're encountering any errors uploading there, please work with your site admin to determine what the issue might be, as they'll be able to review any error messages you're receiving, and report the issue to Atlassian Support if there's a bug preventing you from uploading.
Thank you!
Shannon
