How to trigger a pop-up window when a field in a Database is changed to a specific value?

Dear all,
I hope someone can help me with the following :D

CONTEXT
I have a single master table as my database, with several views/filters showing projects by status.

NEED
As a user I want a pop-up (showing only some columns from my master table) window to be displayed, when I change the project status to "X" value, so I can then populated those values.
