How to speed up attached document previews in Confluence?

When clicking on a link to an attached document (e.g. PDF, MS Office file) on a Confluence page for the "first time", it can take quite a while (many seconds) to render the preview. While waiting, I get a black box that says, "Your preview is on its way". Is there any way to performance tune this, to make it faster?

@AdminTeam EMC , if this is a reproducible issue I would recommend reaching out to Atlassian support directly and have them take a look. In my experience and recent testing I'm not seeing this delay.
