How to show JIRA project logged work hours in Confluence?

Daz Daz July 1, 2018

I have a JIRA server and a Confluence server. I have setup application links on both sides. I would like to use Confluence as a place to show the project progress, particularly on the logged work hours.

Say I am developer and I log work hours in JIRA. How do I configure so that it will be displayed in Confluence space/page? I have already setup a Project space, all I need now is something like a table to showcase the progress, total estimation hours vs logged work hours but I can't seem to get logged work hours from JIRA.

I'm open to any ideas like scripts, plugins etc. Thanks!

Hi @Daz Daz,

You can use JIRA gadgets within a Confluence page as a macro. It may help to solve your issue.

In order to do it:

  • Go to Confluence Admin page -> External Gadgets
  • Add the gadget URL (from JIRA -> Add Gadget -> Show XML link)

Than you can get any report from JIRA with a given configuration.
