How to share confluence with external partner?

in order to manage external customers and partners you could have a look at this app for Confluence: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1216602/space-privacy-extranet-for-confluence?hosting=server&tab=overview

It's basically the solution for your problem. Your external partners don't even need to have Confluence themselves. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask me

In the end you will need to make up your mind on your user/group and role concept and assign the external users based on what they should be able to do
