Trying to make the maximum use of this functionality
https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/add-a-status-to-your-page-or-blog/
The aim is to update the status on child pages/blogs and then get their progress view in the table of contents (macro inserted) in the Parent page. Something like a Table of contents showing the child pages and their status's next to them.
Child Page
Parent Page
Thanks in advance.
You simply can't do that with the Atlassian page status concept. It is a very limited feature at this time, although I expect Atlassian will improve it in the future.
I suggest an alternative until that happens.
There is a better page status concept available in the Better Content Archiving app.
In your use case, after the statuses are set and refreshed by the background job, you can use the Content Status List macro offered by the app. It accepts a CQL query! If your parent page has the ID = 12345, then this CQL will list all its children:
ancestor = 12345
The macro shows the matching content's title, status, last update and last view:
For you it means, that you can add the macro to the parent page and it will always show the current status of all children (descendant).
You can try it free (and use it free for less than 10 users!), of course.
(It is a paid and supported app developed by our team.)
Hi @Sanjeev , good question!
You should take a look at this video.
It shows you how to solve that problem with the Macrosuite Aura.
You can request a free and personalized demo and go through your use case.

@Sanjeev , hi!
Based on your desire to get most of the mentioned article, our Handy Macros for Confluence can come in handy to go even further. This bundle of different macros features Handy Page Status Report to compliment our Handy Page Status . Please see the example report below:
This and other reports can be showcasing data based on the following criteria.
You can try our app on the Atlassian Marketplace to see the Handy Macros in action and adapt it to your needs accordingly.

Welcome to the community @Sanjeev !
The best way to do this is by using an excerpt and excerpt include macro.
Add an excerpt macro in your child page and add your status macro there (you may want to add additional information if you want to show them in your parent page):
Then add an excerpt include macro into your parent page and set its source to your child page:
Hope it helps!

Note that he is not entering the status to the page body, but uses the new (although limited) page status feature. In that case, including excerpts doesn't help at all.

Yes, seems the questions has been updated with new information and screenshots. With the new page status feature of course excerpts wouldn't work but again it can be used as an alternative together with excerpts include macro :)

Hello, I am interested in this point.
Please, could you give me the steps to configure it?
Regards!
