How to recover lost page not visible in trash but still visible in database

Doug McLean May 28, 2012

User reported a page he created had gone missing. Could not find the page in Space Admin - Trash. Able to see record in CONTENT table by CREATOR and TITLE; but SPACEID, PARENTID, MESSAGEID, DRAFTPAGEID, DRAFTSPACEKEY, DRAFTTYPE, DRAFTPAGEVERSION, PAGEID, PARENTCOMMENTID, USERNAME, CHILD_POSITION are all NULL.

Is there anyway to recover this content? How can it be done.

Thanks,

Doug

Hi Doug,

You could try to rebuild indices from scratch following the steps in this document: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/Rebuild+the+Content+Indices+from+Scratch

Not sure if this is the cause, but it can happen that indexes got out of sync and that why you cannot see the page in trash. However, check the database row you mentioned for CONTENTTYPE to be sure it is not a DRAFT of the same page.

Cheers,

Peter

Thanks Peter, I'll keep that in mind if I run into the same situation again.

This issue is too far in the past to research further.
