As I understand, you need to sort a Table within Confluence. What I can tell you is that currently, sorting is possible only when you use Header Row, not Header Column. Excerpt from our documentation about page formatting:
When viewing a table on a page, you can sort it by clicking the sort icons in the header row. Your sorting choices don’t impact what other people see.
Also, take note that sorting does not affect everyone else, just what you are currently seeing.
For you to swap positions of the values and headers in that table, you will need to manually change their positions.
