How to open an uploaded file that is linked through a file list

I have uploaded some files to a file list.  I would like to be able to link directly to the document in the file list from a different page and have the file open directly.  EG, A file named Dexter.xlsx is uploaded to File List A. I want to link Dexter.xlsx to my home page and have it open when I click on it.  Right now, I can't create a link directly to Dexter.xlsx.  I can only link to File List A and then open Dexter.xlsx.  Is there any way to do this in confluence?

I understand you want to link directly to an attachment that is displayed on a list on another page.

When you do Insert Files and Images, you can choose the page with the attachment list and then choose the attachment from the list, so that the file will be rendered instead of the list:
