I'm a Programme manager handling multiple small projects. These projects has dependencies with 3rd party platforms and cross functional dependencies.

How to track and monitor effectively and see which project has blockers on its way.

Hi @Vanagundhi.Praveen ,

I guess it depends on a number of factors, e.g.

  • how available is the program manager to monitor the programs? Are they spending a good bit of their day on these programs or only say 10% of their time?
  • what data is important to monitor? Putting the scale aside, what data do they look at for any one program to assess?

things they could uses:

  • the activity feed and Notification bell
  • using standard confluence templates that would show TLDR summary status at the top is important to a Program manager
  • weekly program reviews with program teams
  • use of @mention process could keep the program manager aware of any positive or negative news.

Oh and there are roadmap macros or if using Jira there are advanced roadmaps that can be pulled into Confluence.

Thank you for your swift response @Jack Brickey

I have a thought in mind, but don't know how to implement in one of the Atlassian product.

The thought is, On Amazon we have a Order tracker in the same way I want to see the multiple projects track how it is moving, if it is stuck (blockers) at particular phase, I want to know the blockers details and who is resolving that blocker. this kind of tracking I need.

I see. It is difficult to provide a good solution without understanding your business workflow. However, I would suggest looking to Automation and the new AI as a possible solution. For example if the program team updates the status on the page then Automation could be triggered by these updates and notify the Program manager directly as necessary.

Hi @Jack Brickey  I would like to track my projects like below, similar to Amazon orders. I have 20 + projects, each project will represent one line with phases / milestone node.
