How to manage JIRA user groups in Confluence?

i have setup where Confluence is configured to use JIRA user DB.

we were making conflunce to be access by customers and internal users.

How this access can be manage?

You may define the groups in JIRA and then allocate permissions to groups with internal and external members within Confluence. Follow up questions are encouraged!

It means wherever change and manage group should be done from JIRA only as it is in sync with JIRA.

How about password sync..? will password also get sync in confluence
