If you are trying to figure out the JAVA used by Confluence, the best way is to check under System information after Confluence is started up.
If not, you can look for the environment variable setting depending on your OS. In Windows, you can easily do it by navigating to the environment variables and in Linux, just do "echo $varibaleName" after logging in as the concerned user.
