How to get pivotal table to show all the raws in a table not just only the total?

Lawrence February 17, 2021

Hi,

I create a table with each raw having a jira query to show the number of issues. After adding the table inside pivotal table, only the total is shown? What did I do wrong? Here's the pivotal table in editing mode.

After clicking on update, there is resulting table in the confluence page.

What I would like to see is the following

      +-------------+---------------+

       |                     |      Issues        |

       +--------------+---------------+

        |    New         |     144             |

        +-------------+---------------+

         |   Resolved  |      144            |

         +------------+---------------+

          |  Total          |     288            |

           +----------------------------+

Please advise.

Thank you,

Lawrence

Hi @Lawrence ,

Here is your page in the edit mode:

Don't create the Total row manually, it will be created automatically with the help of the Pivot Table macro.

Here is a screenshot of the Jira Issues macro where you count your issues - created within a certain time period and closed (resolved) within a certain time period:

And here are your Pivot Table macro settings:

Thank you for your advice, Katarina. I finally got a hold of your idea. Basically, the pivotal table only handles a single jira query. But, that's the case for me.  Since I have two separate queries and each of the queries returns a number, and I guess that's why  I can get the pivotal table to work for me.

Your advice helps me to gain more understand of pivotal table.

Regards,

Lawrence
