Confluence (Server) version 7 is being used, but it has reached End of Life and license has expired. We are planning to migrate it to Confluence Cloud by using "Cloud Migration Assistant for Confluence". However, when clicking "Update" button on "Managed Apps" to update "Cloud Migration Assistant for Confluence", we got error "An error occurred during installation. Refer to the logs for more information.", but we can't find any logs related to this issue.

Questions:

1. Where can we find the logs? We tried "Troubleshooting and support tools" and "Audit Log", but can't see any info related to the error.

2. Can we migrate from Confluence (Server) version 7 to Confluence Cloud by using "Cloud Migration Assistant for Confluence"? Do we need to renew the license and upgrade Confluence (Server) 7 the latest version first?

Hi @Terry Tan and welcome,

you are on a server/data center instance. You can find logs at server side on <YOUR-CONFLUENCE-HOME_FOLDER>/logs/atlassian-confluence.log

My suggestion is to upgrade first your confluence to latest version. You can use a trial license in order to upgrade your instance.

Hope this helps,

Fabio
