Hello,

Is there any option to list out pages which are created by specific user in confluence cloud.

Thanks in advance

Hi @seethamraju

You can do this using CQL and advanced search - to do this:

  1. Press the magnifying glass on the left-hand navigation bar
  2. Either press Enter/Return, or select "Advanced Search" at the bottom of this list to enter advanced
  3. In the search box put: creator = "Username here"

^ This should bring up all content created by a specific user. You can limit to pages by either:

  • Changing the standard filter on the right-hand side of Type to "Pages"
  • Adding type = page to the filter above. I find this can include space home pages though, so depends if you want to include these.

See more detail on CQL by clicking here

I've tried every variation of this search command that I can think of (creator=username, creator=Display Name, creator="Display Name", creator=@Display Name, creator=User GUID, creator:username, createdBy=username, etc.) any nothing returns any results. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Do I need permission to use this feature?

Hi @Michael Gibney

I'm finding some difficulty in this also in our Cloud instance - perhaps it differs slightly to what you can do in Server / DC.

I did find this free add-on which exposes CQL outside of the REST API on Cloud - this might make it simpler to use and search?

Hi @Ste Wright - I got an admin to add that to our instance and I was able to get what I needed. Useful add-on, thanks

Search --> Advanced Search --> Filter by User

Unfortunately, the cloud version has no Advanced search option, and no way to search by user who created the page (only by contributor, which is different)

How to do that? It is such a basic function. But I searched and searched to no avail.

@Wai Yip Tung

  1. Check the upper right filed for search - click inside.
  2. Choose the lowest option "Advanced search".

The "advance search" only filter for Contributors. I'm looking for filtering by creator.

Hi, Click Custom under All Content and then type the User Name there under CREATOR. It works for me.

Still not what I'm looking for. the filter "edited or created by" gives also results of pages that I have edited but not own or created.

In order to manage our volumes of pages we want to hold "owners" accountable for cleaning up pages that are obsolete.

Is there any simple way of doing this?
