How to delete rows/columns in the Table Spreadsheet Macro?

Edited

Hello everyone,

im trying to delete rows and columns in a table created by the Table Spreadsheet Macro in Confluence but if i click on "Delte selected Column" nothing happens. I can add new rows/columns just fine, has anyone encountered this problem and knows a solution? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Qwert Zuipü ,

Just checked the behavior in our test Server instance: I can delete both columns and rows from the edit and view modes.

Right-click the mouse, select Delete selected Row/Column and it works fine for me.

Note that after doing any changes in the page view mode you need to save them: File -> Save/Save As.

If the issue persists, please raise a support ticket. Please give us the version of your Confluence and attach the page storage format (upper right corner of the page -> menu ... -> View Storage Format). If you don't see the option, ask you Confluence administrator to do it for you. Then we'll be able to recreate exactly your page and look into the issue closely.

Hi Katerina,

thanks for your answer. It makes no difference if i try to delete the columns/rows in edit mode or directly when i open the table.

I have all the information you asked for, i will open a support ticket and post it there.

Hi Katerina,

i have opened a support ticket but i dont understand the answer i recieved.

Hello,

Thanks for reching out!

We have added the improvement on our roadmap, thus once it's going to be released, we will notify you shortly.

Best wishes,
Nikita

Does this mean the feature is currently not implemented? If so, why are the buttons for it in the contextmenu? Sadly i cant answer directly to your colleague, if i click on "view request" in the email i recieved get a "no permissions to visit this site".

I've seen your ticket - yesterday I misunderstood you. You mean that if you add columns, the new AA columns are added. If you delete them, you want not only the contents to be deleted but the number of columns as well: back to Z, Y, etc.

We don't have such behaviour at the moment, so Nikita created a ticket for our developers and linked your request to it. Once the feature is implemented, he will reach out to you.
