How to delete a Confluence account without affecting the corresponding Jira account

Rogier The November 28, 2017

We have registered one user for both Jira and Confluence. Now we would like to remove her for Confluence but not loose her work in Jira. How to get this done? Removing her, inactivated her Jira account last time.

Hi Rogier,

I would recommend not removing the user, but removing her access from Confluence.

To do this on server, you can simply remove her from the groups which have been given Can Use access in Confluence:

This will ensure she no longer can access Confluence, and that she will still be able to access Jira.

If you're using the Cloud version, you can do this by going to User Management > Application Access and remove her Confluence access there.

I hope this helps!

Kind regards,

Shannon
