Hi,
So I wanted to add a jira table into my page along with some additional columns which are not part of the jira. These columns will be used to track some additional data. I could find how to insert a jira table. But I am unable to figure out how to have a regular table and a jira table exist side by side so that I can create my own additional columns. Any solution/workaround will be appreciated.
Hi @Rohit Dayal ,
We can recommend to use our app - Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.
If you need to add more information to the Jira Issues macro (for example, to the pivots based on your jira issues or smth), you can create additional native Confluence table and merge the two tables with the help of the Table Transformer macro (the Lookup tables preset).
As your hosting is Cloud, you'll need to use the Table Toolbox macro to nest several macros. Other steps will be similar to the use cases in our documentation.
Hello there @Rohit Dayal !
As I understand, you need to display a set of Jira issues within your Confluence pages but also needs to display specific data that is not part of the Jira ticket itself.
When you say that “I could find how to insert a jira table”, what do you mean? Did you use the Jira Issues macro for this purpose or did you manually create a table with Jira content?
Here is our documentation on the Jira Issues macro:
Also, a few other questions about how you want to display this content:
- How are you displaying the Jira issues in your page?
- Would it be possible for you to use Custom Fields in Jira itself so the values can be fetched inside the Jira Issues macro?
- Are you comparing the data from both tables (Jira and Confluence) or do you need them to behave as a single table?
Let us hear from you!
