How to create a Glossary in Confluence

Beth Buonanno January 29, 2014

Does anyone have a step-by step procedure on how to create a Glossary in Confluence? We are currently using 3.5.9, but will be updating to 5.4 in near future. I am a neophyte when it comes to macros and widgets....and cannot figure out how to create a glossary term that is searchable. I also do not know what plugins I would need to accomplish this task.

Thank you

Hi Beth,

I recommend you to try this new Glossary plugin. You can view it here, in the Atlassian Marketplace:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/fr.spectrumgroupe.confluence.plugins.glossary

It's easy to use it and it lets you manage thousands of terms and their definitions inside a smart wiki page tree.

It contains a search box to quickly find a term definition.

If you have further questions about it, please contact us at http://lab.spectrumgroupe.fr/jira/browse/BPGLOS

So in other words, no you cannot without some marketplace plugin (which is blocked by many, many companies). Lovely.
