How to copy/paste pre-formatted content into Confluence?

mc April 6, 2014

How can I copy/paste formatted content into Confluence? I can work with html formatting or confluence wiki markup. So far, when I copy/paste either into a page, the editor doesn't pick it up and the page will show exactly what I copy/pasted in.

Example, copy/paste the below in, and it shows exactly as is instead of being picked up as confluence wiki markup.

*this should be bold* {color:blue}this should be blue {color}

Instead of doing a directory copy and paste onto the page try the following:

Edit the page, then select insert, then wiki markup or "markup", then copy and paste your wiki code into the wiki markup window.

That should fix your issue and allow your markup to be translated onto the page.
