How to change administrator privileges

Katie Willgoos December 7, 2016

Someone else at our company set up our Confluence site, but he wants to give administrative right to me instead.  How can he delegate all admin privileges to me?

Hi Katie,

In Confuence Cloud (if you are using the default groups), they can set you up as a user and add you to the 'administrators' group.

If they also want to give you permission to manage users and billing information, they can also add you to the 'site-admins' group.

You can read about the various default groups and permissions here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/manage-groups-744721627.html

Get them to add you to the group that says "you are an admin".  Check "global permissions" if you're unsure what that group is.
