Hi, i'm trying to add a watermark to a template in confluence. I have the image but I just don't find how to set it up as the background to the page.
What exactly are you trying to achieve with a watermark?
I understand from your comment that you want to communicate the status of the Confluence page, right? Have you considered using dedicated solutions like the Better Content Archiving app that allows you to create your own definition for any status and apply that dynamically (automatically) when the preset conditions are met? You can even automate notification emails to alert some users about certain pages.
You can learn more on how to show custom Confluence page status in this tutorial >>
(Please note that Better Content Archiving for Confluence is a free/paid, supported app and I'm part of the team developing it.)
@ygiralt Welcome to the Atlassian community
I believe you would need to use an app that applies watermarks to the PDF export. I believe that there is only one for cloud https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?hosting=cloud&product=confluence&query=watermark.

Dear @Brant Schroeder ,
Is it possible to dynamically add a watermark to a exported PDF document, reflecting the page status (e.g., "Draft") without the use of any add-ons?
Your insights on this matter are greatly appreciated.

@Sana_Iqbal You would need to us an app and I am not sure you would be able to do what you are requesting with any of the apps currently available.
