Is there a way to have filter on confluence pages tables without relying on third party addon-on?
Thanks in advance for your feedback :)
Unfortunately, there is no native feature to filter confluence tables. You will have to use a third party add-on.
You could use Confluence Database to store your table data, and then you will be able to filter content in it. But it is a database not a table; nonetheless, you can embed it in a Confluence page.

Hi,
Thanks for the swift reply.
That's unfortunate. I understand the usage of databases and I see the similitude with Notion-like approach but it would have been handy to be able to use filters on a table within a page in order to do simple data visualization and avoid (another) excel document that can't be co-edited when added as attachment in a confluence page. In some scenarios, a database is overkill.
I'll see what I can find with the multiple add-ons available on the marketplace but this will have to go through internal validations which I don't have a lot of hope to get a positive answer to move forward with.
I guess, I still need to use excel then.
By the way since there are ISVs doing it through paid addons, is it on purpose that atlassian doesn't develop that feature to avoid to kill their share of the atlassian customers market ?
Regards,
Florent

You never know with Atlassian, if the PO found the feature is key for the product, he could put it in the roadmap even if a partner has already an add-on doing it.

I need to find that PO then and do some lobbying :-p.
Thanks for your answers.

Hi @Florent Irakoze ,
If you are open to 3rd party apps, you may check the app that we develop - Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence.
It offers 12 handy macros that cover way more cases than simple filtration.
Please book a call with our engineer and invite your team - we'll be able to show all the functions live.
