How to Consolidate from MediaWiki to Confluence?

david cockrell November 18, 2024

Hi Community,

Is anyone familiar with MediaWiki?
Is it possible to consolidate entire site / spaces / structures from MediaWiki to Confluence?

Any feedback or advice on this would be dearly appreciated.

My first thought was to check possibility of exporting pages to Word / PDF which cab be imported as individual pages in Confluence.

But due to the amount of pages this solution would not be relevant
Also this solution would not take into consideration structure, page versions, links between pages... etc and anything else that might exist on MediaWiki platform

Here is a link to the MediaWiki instance:

Our Confluence instance is Data Center 8.5

Thanks for any feedback.

David

Hi David, I found a few different Community articles that refer to a service for migrating from MeediaWiki to Confluence.  Here's one of the links: MediaWiki to Confluence

Looks like there's a Third Party company (Xoriant) that could assist with this for you.

There were a handful of other articles, but they were very similar.

Hope that helps.
