How do you specify user directory for new users in Confluence

Cesar Covarrubias October 14, 2012

I have 2 user directories in Confluence, the internal directory and Microsoft Active Directory. When I create a new user, I cannot specify which directory the user should be created in (like in JIRA). When I try to reset the password of a created user that is not in AD, Confluence throws an error. How do I create a user account specific to the Internal directory so that this doesn't happen?

Hello Cesar,

Unfortunately this is by default the first one. So if the first one is Internal, it will be created in Internal, otherwise it would be created in another and could grant you this error that you've experienced.

Cheers,

Guilherme
