How do you change background color on Confluence section (not the whole page)?

We're looking to make changes to our Confluence page - we are looking for tutorial, or Youtube content, on how to make changes to layout/color/ etc.    We have the content we want to upload - just not sure how to make these changes.

Is there a way to talk to Confluence Support directly?    thank you.

@Kevin McCabe Welcome to Confluence!

Most support is community based, so please keep posting your questions here. If there is anything we cannot answer, we will refer you to Atlassian support. You can reach them here: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/

Your request, which is to change the background color of an entire page, is currently not supported in Confluence. The standard white background is used on all pages - but when you edit certain elements like tables you can change the color of the cells - just not the background on the main portion of the page. Additionally, many other elements such as info panels also have their own color schemes.

How on earth is it not possible to configure the background color for a tool focused on web content generation in this day and time? This is insane.

I understand there are dark theme extensions for browsers like Chrome, but many of us don't have the option to install an extension that can read and write all data on the page.

I am have the same issue, it is so frustrated. In older version there is much flexible section management. but now it is bear minimal and very handy caped. even worse, there are bunch mom pap shop inserting all kinds of ad try to sale their plugins. This is not an healthy way for confluence to force customer to go to plugin so that they can make more money!!!

Hi @Kevin McCabe

By using panel macros we can add colors to a particular section in a confluence page in cloud environment, I am not sure whether these are available in server/Data center versions.
