How do we turn off the blog?

We use Confluence for software documentation only and do not need a blog.

How do we turn off the blog completely including all links?

You can manage this by:

1. Using permissions or

2. Disable the add-blog-post-button plugin under system plugins (Confluence Dashboard Plugin).

This question is for onDemand which I am not seeing the options you mention.

"the add-blog-post-button plugin" is not in version 6.2.3 server,.....

There's no one-click solution to turn off the blog for all spaces, however you can

1. click 'Configure Sidebar' for a space that you are the administrator of,
2. click the '-' icon next to the "Blog" link to hide it, and
3. click 'Done'.

This will hide the link to the blog, but it will not remove everything blog-related (e.g. the 'Blog post' content type when clicking 'Create' will remain).
