How do enable (activate) a previously disabled (deactivated) user?

Iakov Dlikman March 25, 2014

Hi,

One of our users cannot reset his password. When he tries to do so, he receives an E-Mail with a link to do so. Clicking on the link results in an error page.

I looked him up in the user directory and his account is disabled. What does this mean? How can I reactivate his account?

Confluence version 4.2.7.

Thanks

Iakov

Is your confluence instances using LDAP or internal users?

If LDAP then you need to re-enable his AD user or place the disabled users into the correct group to ensure access. Once re-enable you need to sync with your LDAP server(s).

If its an internal user, simply navigate to the confluence configuration, go to users, find the user and enable them.

Maybe this will help:

OR

Hopefully this helps.

Hi Stephen,

we use LDAP delegated authentication. As you mentioned the user account had to be reanabled in the user directory.

Thank You!
