Thank you. After two weeks I finally saw the X in the top right hand corner. All gone now.
I clicked on the white X at the top RHS corner. It opens a drop down menu
I have just wasted 15 minutes trying to rid of this screen.

I have some users that aren't great with computers using the confluence wiki that are absolutely crippled by this ridiculous purple box. I cannot believe that it was implemented so poorly that it doesn't adjust for screen resolution.
This should be a simple fix--atlassian should just get done-- not a chore for me to try to help someone learn zoom in their browser.

Hi all!
To add some more color on the logic of the editor onboarding help - it will actually stay there until you X it out. Sometimes depending on your screens resolution the help menu is too big and you can't see the X icon. Simply zoom out a bit on your browser and you should be able to dismiss it!
Thanks,
Avinoam

Hello Kelly and welcome to the Community!
The purple sidebar menu that is within your screenshot is the new editor help menu to assist with coaching you through using the new editor. With this said, that menu should go away after you’ve used the editor itself a couple of times. It’s intended to be an assistant to ensure you understand some of the changes which come with the new editor.
Additional information on the new editor can be found at Confluence Editing Improvements.
If the assist menu is not going away, please reach back out and let us know.
Regards,
Stephen Sifers

It might or might not be be a wonderful and useful menu but there also needs to be a simple and straight forward way to remove it. As it is it's like it's being forced down on me. Poor UX

It is not going away, I have now used 15 minutes of my time and prefer not to use another 30 "reaching out". I'll move to Notion or Google docs for now
