How do I remove contents of a Word document from the Table of Contents macro?

Hey, I'm new to working with Confluence, our version is 5.10.8. When I upload a Word document to a page, the table of contents doesn't only show the contents of the page, but also contents of the document, which is really confusing.

Can the document contents be removed? I tried excluding them (through Exclude Headings in TOC macro), but it didn't work.

please check the type of text. "Normal text" should not appear on the table of contents.
