Hi friends,
In my wiki, there was an Italic line, and when I remove the line and insert something new, the Italic format is stuck. Selecting the line shows that Confluence editor does not think it is Italic, which in fact it is. Any switching between Italic and normal doesn't help at all.
The only solution seems to completely remove the part ABOVE the line, and then re-write. However this becomes difficult if the above part is not text, but a picture.
Any idea how to solve this? Format issue is definitely my No.1 productivity killer as it usually takes me 15-20 mins trying to fix it, to no avail, and then have to rewrite the whole part.
Additional question to other users: Is there a way to completely avoid using the editor? For example, if I write in markdown and import, does it import faithfully? What's your option? Thanks
@Markus Zhang Are you copying content from a different wiki (web page)? I am assuming yes. If that is the case some times it will copy html formatting that the cloud product does not recognize but the browser does and there is not a way to remove it. Is there anyway for you to migrate the content without copy and pasting?
Hi @Brant Schroeder no I'm actually modifying confluence wiki in place. This doesn't happen very often so I'm also a bit surprised.

@Markus Zhang interesting. Do you know if the content you are modifying was copied from another application when the page was created?

@Brant Schroeder No it was created manually. I think in general there is certain level of difficulty to remove formats if the whole line is of the same format (Italic in this case).
