I can't seem to find a way to import values for the "Tag" field. Is there something I need to include in my CSV file for Confluence to recognize such values?

Confluence will let you import tags but it apparently won't display them.  Try doing either of these orders of operations:

Option A:

1. Add tags to your .csv for import in a comma separated list. I had fields like:

* data

* data, sales

* data, finance

* data

2. Import your csv

3. Add the tags in the UI.  Once you add values for data, sales, and finance you'll see data on the rows.

Option B:

1. Add tags to your .csv for import in a comma separated list. I had fields like:

* data

* data, sales

* data, finance

* data

2. Add the tags in the UI.  If you can add all of your tags then you'll see them appear when you upload.

3. Upload your csv.

It's confusing that Confluence won't display tags without you having to manually create them.  If you only have a few tags this shouldn't be too annoying.

To upload a CSV which contains Tag Columns to a Confluence Database:

1. Remove any Database links from the Confluence database. This seems to Ensure that the tag column and remove the column from the CSV (this is the most frequent issue). If you must keep the Database links, move the column in the database and in the CSV to the last field

2. Organize the CSV columns and database in the same order (optional, but greatly simplifies matters).

2. Ensure your CSV values match the Confluence Database field's values *exactly*, or enable "Allow Tag Creation" and turn on "Allow Multiple Tags" if applicable

3. Ensure that the CSV columns have the correct data type (Text or General)

4. Ensure other fields have the correct data type (e.g., a Date column is Short Date and not number or some other data type)
