How do I enable the options to import Word and Markdown to a page?

Ines C August 30, 2024

Hi all,

I have two questions and would appreciate your help.

1. Is it possible to import Markdown to Confluence and, if yes, how do we do this?

2. How do I enable the option to Import Word Document so that it's always visible on the "More options" menu of all pages?

I only see this option right after selecting "Create" in the top navigation bar. Then it's gone.

I'm a Confluence admin but I'm still getting my way around Confluence permissions and settings.

Thanks!

Hello @Ines C and welcome to the community.

To answer:

  1. There's an free app for that - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1231894/markdown-importer-for-confluence?tab=overview&hosting=cloud
  2. No. Besides, speaking from experience, I'm getting better results from copy-pasting things into Confluence, ideally from a static HTML website :)
