(This should be trivial, but I am a newbie to Confluence.) I accidently added an attachment to a page. (I am surprised that is even possible.) I guess it doesn't do any harm, but I would like to delete it to head off any confusion. I explored the page and the documentation and could not find an answer.
Hello Arthur,
This page describes how to delete an attachment. Note that you may not see any Delete button, since deleting an attachment requires a specific space permission.
Hope this helps,
- Manon
I don't see any "Delete next to the attachment", so I presumably do not have the 'Delete Attachment' space permission. (I am new to Confluence, but well-versed in Dokuwiki. I had a hunch this might be a permission problem because in Dokuwiki deleting files is a higher privilege than uploading them. I always found that a bit strange, but it does make some kind of sense. Anyway, if the admins didn't give me permission to correct my mistake, it is their problem, not mine. Thanks for the help.)

Just to be sure you're looking at the right spot, here is a screenshot with the Delete button:

That's it. I just have the Properties button. A screenshot like this in the documentation you linked to would have made me surer quicker that Delete was simply something I was not allowed to do.

i have the exact same issue. i don't see the delete option its so annoying. I created the page, i attached the files. Now i cannot delete the attachments,
The problem is more than that, every time when i create an attachment template, my previous file attachments keep coming to every attachment i create. I think its a clear bug
