I have created a new template using multiple sections and multiple custom fields. I cannot copy and paste the content into a new template because I am using sections. How do I duplicate the template?
Hi,
You can install the Atlassian app named Confluence Source Editor. Read up a bit on how it works.
It allows you to copy a page or template exactly by copying the storage format and pasting it on to a new page or template via the "<>" button in the top right in edit mode.

Thank you for your suggestion, but we use the Cloud version of the product. That plugin does not support the cloud.

Why can't it be as easy as copying a page?

Has anyone successfully copied a template on the server version? Tried the "<>" and "Ctrl C"/"Ctrl V". Template does have expand boxes and tabs. So far no luck.
Ideas? Solutions?

Hello Frank,
I have successfully copied a template with Expand and UI Expand macros within them and it worked fine for me.
Perhaps ensure, when you paste the source code, that you have eliminated any additional spaces. Other than this, I am unsure what might be presenting you a challenge. Hopefully you resolved your issue.

Seems like Confluence is better suited for developer types. I struggle mightily to do anything new here.

I'm a developer type and have similar experiences. Online documentation between versions is confusing as well.
