How can you add a team to a space without individually adding members?

I tried adding individual members to a space since I cannot find how to directly add a whole team I created on Confluence to an existing space. However, some names could not be searchable when adding them individually. 

It's weird since they have profiles on confluence + I've already added them to a team I created but they just could not be searched via the space permissions > edit permissions > individual user process.
