How can we use the same user directory for JIRA and Confluence Cloud?

Bill April 6, 2016

Looking to trial Confluence, but I am unsure if our JIRA Software (Cloud) user directory can be authenticated in Confluence.  We have over 400 JIRA Software users and don't need to add them to Confluence on the Cloud.

On the cloud, how can we use the same user list between JIRA and Confluence?  If we add users to one instance will it be updated on the other list using the same group name?  Thanks.

Cloud uses either Google accounts, or its own internal directory.

If you have JIRA and Confluence in the Cloud (assuming it's the same domain), then they use the same set of users automatically.
