How can we track page additions and edits using Confluence as our Knowledge Base?

Kandace K July 26, 2018

We would like to track when a specific person adds or edits pages within a space on our confluence installment.

We are currently using Google Analytics to track and monitor the page views, but we need something that will track the number of pages added or edited by the individual.

How is this type of tracking possible?

Edit: We can make do with a process to locate pages that were created by a group of users during a specified time frame.

Hi @Kandace K,

There is a macro called "Contributors Summary" which shows page edits, comments, labels by individuals as a table.  Btw, you can watch whole space to get notified if someone creates a page within a space.

Hi @Tansu Akdeniz

Thanks for your quick suggestions!

This macro output is exactly what we need to track edits, comments, etc. by the individual user. However, it doesn't appear to track page creations since it tracks the parameters by the specific page title. We would need something that could pull the same type of data for the entire space and include added pages.

Watching the entire space will give me the notifications in email that a page was created, but ideally we would like this information exportable (like excel for example).
