The Office Powerpoint macro can display .ppt files, but the .pptm extension is not supported. You can upload any filetype to a Confluence page for a user to download, and when they do they have the option to Edit With a compatible program installed on their machine. Once they make and save their edits, Confluence will update the file on that page. This saves the user the trouble of downloading the file, making their edits, saving the file, changing the version number of the file, editing the Confluence page, deleting the old version, and uploading the new version.
The paid Microsoft Office App for Confluence might have the functionality you're looking for.
