How can I manage nested numbering?
1. Main Heading
1.1. Sub Heading of Main heading
1.1.1 Further sub heading
2. Main Heading
2.1. Sub Heading of Main heading
2.1.1 Further sub heading
@Ali Raza welcome to Confluence!
In the editor you can select numbering or bullet points. If you want to nest a number, you simply TAB at the beginning of the line you want to nest. When you want to come back to the main or a sub heading, hold SHIFT+TAB to bring the editor back.
Here is an example using this editor:

@Ali Raza I’d love to help. I am currently in transit and not available to at the moment. Is this something that we can schedule for tomorrow?

@Ali Raza If you want to nest their numbering you can try to use different headings. Heading one will be the parent heading, heading two will be a subheading of 1, heading 3 will be a subheading of heading 2, and so on. Hope helps

I am curious why you want numbered headings in online resource? This was a print construct for easy referencing, but now we have hyperlinking, and can send direct links for reference.
But if you need numbering, I have used this plugin when users insisted on number:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/16063/numbered-headings?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
It will easily do the type of numbering you want and is preserved on export.
