How can I display automatically part of Microsoft Word page in a list like in a confluence page ?

For example show revision history in an automatic way in the confluence page BUT

extracting it from the already existing revision history table in the (original) word document.

Thanks

Hello @ilan_sweetch_com,

Thank you for contacting us about this. From what I understand, you want to include only specific excerpts of Word documents in Confluence?

Is that correct?

I'm Confluence, you have the option to either Import a Word Document as a page, or display the file in your page with the View File Macro.

You might be able to find some add-ons that allow only specific excerpts in Atlassian Marketplace, so have a look there and see what you find.

Regards,

Shannon

Hi Shannon

Thank you your answer.

I am aware for the import word macro.

Still the need is to be able to "segregate"/show only a specific part of the doc.

it can be either a table only or even a single line.

Pls. realize that:

1. R&D docs can be big.

2. These will be written outside the confluence pages system - from various reasons.

3.  Most of the time you need to focus on specific part of the doc & by the request feature  you can do it it a neat way

4. you dont want to duplicate entries/numbering etc.

I can sent you a file example if you want a specific example or in order to be more precise

Hi @ilan_sweetch_com,

Thank you for taking the time to describe the desired behavior.

I understood that you only want to include a specific part of the document, but that's not possible with Confluence. You can either import or display the entire document, but not specific parts.

If you need to only include specific sections of a Word Document, then I recommend reviewing the add-ons at Marketplace, as there might be something there that can help.

Regards,

Shannon
